Good morning Ladies and Gentlmen :
My name is __.It’s my great honous to speak here.I am the speaker of number 9. Today my topic is " Let’s take action to protect the environment . As we all know, The environment is getting worse and worse, In some places we can’t see fish swimming in the river or trees on the hills. Some people even have no clean water to drink. A number of people have been killed by air pollution and water pollution .Worst of all ,people aren’t aware of the danger of the pollution. So I think we should do something to protect the environment. .But what can we do? How to protect our environmemt?
In my opinion, we can go to school on foot or by bike. We can use shopping baskets instead of using the plastic bags when we go shopping. We can use both sides of the paper when we write . And remember don’t throw the rubbish everywhere. We can pick up the garbage when we see it. Remember to turn off the faucet. When we leave the room don’t forget to turn off the light.
If everyone takes action to protect our environment ,our shool and world will be much more beautiful in the future. DO You know? Today is world earth day.So Lets start to clean up now. Lets protect natures beauty.Lets make our future bright.Thank you for your attention.
some people may proudly say: we are the masters of nature. it is true that the idea of "man can conquer nature" has dominated people#39;s mind for years, and it is true, man has kept acting like a master and doing whatever things he wants for thousands of years. however, as the consequence of this kind of "leadership" , now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. facts are really very ample. thegreen house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of el nino and la nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? we are not the masters of nature. facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.
by saying so, i do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development. because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society. i mean we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are obtaining the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win.
i am very pleased to find that now more and more people, from every corner of the planet, have come to realize that harmony with nature is the only way to universal and continuous progress and prosperity. and i think that is why we come here from all over the country to discuss this topic today.
i want to end my speech by quoting from mr. nixon. "our destiny offers, not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity." the future is not ours to see of course. however, by seizing firmly the opportunities, by knowing clearly about ourselves, we, human beings, can doubtlessly achieve the real harmony with nature!

We have only one earth. But now，the environment becomes worse and worse.
As you know，there's no enough clean water for people. So many of them lose their lives because of water. In a lot of countries，people have to cut trees for living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Also we have polluted the land，the river and the air. So we have to face more and more floods and droughts.
It's time that we must do something useful to protect our environment. We can plant trees and take good care of them. We can save the water and ask our parents to do so。 We can't throw any litter onto the ground and we should collect them for recycling.
If we take good care of our earth today，it will be more beautiful tomorrow.
With the developing rises live, people directs more and more excessively on environment, especially in a few middle-schools. It would destroy nature if we Wastes excessive balance.
Protect the environment is the duty of everyone, we are just some students , we couldn#39;t make something especially big contribution for the environment , but we can secondary composes up in our environment , from protecting schools#39; environment, for example: Observe in connection with the regulation forbidding chaos to throw away various waste , avoid using the drink cup , mess tin , plastic bag for one time merely , use paper box to wait in the place or container throwing away waste to appointment, replace, such can cut down a rubbish greatly, lightening refuse disposal job pressure , treasuring flowers and plants trees , being the cleaning giving to New Year card as a gift , keeping campus short and so on.
Although these being minor matter at above ,but if everybody gets to do, set about from saving resource and falling off contaminating, self life-style adjusting an once, we are therefore likely to be to protect the earth making a contribution out.
As the teen-agers who taking knowledge now , we should protection environment up right now.Save the resource, protection environment , act as the young host who protects the earth.

The topic of my speech is to protect the environment. Earth, a beautiful blue planet. But we throw rubbish and put a black veil on this beautiful planet.
The world's garbage is surging every year, reaching 50 billion tons! When garbage is landfilled, chemicals may leak and pollute groundwater and land. If you burn garbage, it will pollute the air. In the face of excessive garbage, the best way is garbage collection.
We recycle some recyclable things in the garbage, such as bottles, cartons, handbags, etc. after these things are recycled, you may not recognize them when they are reused. This can not only save a lot of resources, but also reduce the amount of waste.
